High School History Teacher

It is important to utilize modern technology in the class room. By using technology such as smartboards, the class room can become more interactive and beneficial to students. Below is a simple smartboard lesson for students, with the rules to the left. It is important to keep students engaged with the material, and simple to plan and use lessons such as these are the perfect way to “mix up” a class and let the students have fun while learning.
To the right is a sample history question that I made for a smartboard lesson. More options for the answer for the question could be added, as well as pictures and other elements in order to change up how the question is asked or answered.
To the left is a blank question page. Usable for nearly any class room, all that needs to be added is the question and answers. The score button down at the bottom will bring the page to the score page which can be marked with the teams scores, while the front page button brings the game back to the main screen once the question has been answered.
To the right is the main screen of the lesson. Students stand a reasonable distance from the smartboard and toss a kooshball at it, hitting one of the numbers visible. Once the number has been his it will bring the student to the next screen. Once the question has been answered, it can be dragged down and disposed of so that it can't be hit again.
Here is the link to the smartboard lesson I made. It is a simple kooshball game like the one above, and t was made to serve as a review of some of the key events and concepts of World War II.
