High School History Teacher
A document-based question (DBQ), also known as data-based question, is an essay or series of short-answer questions that is constructed by students using one's own knowledge combined with support from several provided sources. Usually it is employed on timed history tests.
This particular DBQ I made to help my students learn about World War I and the events that led up to the fatal conflict. Made up of eight documents, this DBQ serves to enhance students' understanding by providing background, images, and primary source documents to bring World War I to life.
